Let’s cut through the current political rhetoric regarding abortion and punishment aimed at stirring up the candidates’ supporters. This is just a cover-up for sickos who delight in spanking women. Let’s face the fact that the planet cannot continue to effectively support the growing worldwide population.
Let’s tell all these old white guys who want to control women’s minds, bodies, and life-giving power to sit down, zip it, and shut up.
To Colorado’s Republican Senator and U.S. Senate candidate, TIM NEVILLE, who felt free to pollute my liberal mailbox with his wrong-headed propaganda, I say, stop talking about women like they aren’t in the room!
Unlike you, I do not believe life is a precious gift given to us by the Creator. It’s biology. Sometimes life is created through less than loving circumstances such as rape or incest. Many women do not want to bring unwanted child into the world, and they are not required to obey your religious beliefs, Mr. Neville. In America, abortion is legal. You are free to fantasize about the joys of giving birth under undesirable circumstances but that is all it is; a fantasy.
I disagree with Mr. Neville that our elected officials in Washington have a moral duty to protect those unborn children who cannot defend themselves. You have no resolve to protect these innocents from the abuse borne to them by their unwilling parent(s) and you offer no legislation to require the father to provide for the unwanted child. I would support legislation that requires the male parent to take the child should the mother not want it. Problematic if the father is in jail for rape or incest. Now what?
Here is what you told me you would do, if elected to Washington:
** End all taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood and ALL abortion providers nationwide. Make sure that not a single dime of taxpayer money is used to murder innocent children;
** Introduce a life at Conception Act, which would federally recognize life as beginning at the moment of conception;
** Support and confirm ONLY U.S. Supreme Court nominees who will overturn Roe v. Wade;
** Ban the sale and distribution of chemical abortifacients like RU 486
Your proposals above are aimed at controlling and punishing women, particularly those victims of rape and incest. If you’re going to continue trying to tackle the problem of unwanted pregnancies, at least put as much effort into controlling the bodies of men as you do women.
You claim, “I’m committed to protecting the Sanctity of Life from the moment of conception to natural passing.”
So where in your rhetoric does one hear of the funding you will provide to support these unwanted lives? You want my tax dollars to provide the funding for adoption services and child protection services.
I want my tax dollars to provide pregnancy prevention, free, to all males and females on the entire planet. Highly rated charitable organizations dedicated to stabilizing global population and improving lives may be found with just a little internet research.
